Sutter Health PBX Operator in Berkeley, California
Receive and dispatch incoming calls through the PBX console in an expedient, accurate, and professional manner. Respond to emergency alarms. Utilize pagers and overhead paging as appropriate.
Minimum Job Requirements :
High school diploma or general education degree.
Two years experience with the main/primary job function as a PBX Telephone Operator or Call Center Representative.
Ability to type 35wpm
Two years experience with Windows, Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Internet Explorer
Experience in medical/healthcare field desirable.
Medical terminology desirable
Good ability to spell common words/names
License, certification, and/or registration requirements

Excellent customer service skills, demonstrating friendliness, empathy, compassion, and courtesy.
Effective communication skills.
Tone of voice must be clear, must use appropriate non-slang vocabulary
Active listening skills.
