NANA Regional Corporation Procurement Specialist in Big Lake, Alaska

Job Description

The Procurement Specialist is a technical position that provides direct support with the receiving verification of Program / Project materials. Provide continuous insight into supplier’s progress towards meeting purchase order requirements, particularly the technical requirements and VDDR. Provide data review of material certifications and ensure proper identification, labelling and storing of those documents. Under close supervision, monitor the progress towards ensuring that the required supplier order requirements are delivered in accordance to project specificaitons.

Responsibilities

  • Track and document technical documents of all company and client provided materials

  • Superior understanding of project material, all types, and their technical requirements.

  • Expedite assigned purchase orders to ensure all requirements specified in the purchase order are accomplished with regard to vendor document data supply, coordination of interfaces, timely inspection and on time delivery. Report status of procurement, fabrication, delivery, issue, inventory status and communicate to team as required.

  • Detailed identification, labelling, scanning and filing of material traceability documents for quality and procurement storage and turnover to Client.

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • Other duties that are pertinent to the department or unit's success also may be assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Minimum five (5) years directly related experience required.

  • Computer proficiency with programs such as Excel, Word, Adobe and adept and learning additional systems.

The employee must frequently lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and taste or smell. Steel toed boots required on the job.
