Amergis Travel Ultrasound Tech - Iowa or North Dakota in Bismarck, North Dakota

"Department: Ultrasound / Sonographer

Certifications Required: BLS, ARRT or RDMS, ND state lic

  • How many scanners/rooms does this department have? 7 treatment areas

  • Will they have to float/cover any other areas? IR and inpatient outpatient and ER

  • Common types of imaging/studies performed & Job Duties: Inpatient, outpatient, Variety- busy ED, interventional radiology procedures, breast imaging, breast biopsies, paras, thoras

  • Experience or 'Must have' skills: preferred travel and neonatal experience.

  • Average # of scans/studies per day: 6-10 and 10-15 depending if in IR

  • EMR &/or PACS do they use: Citrix

  • Department Specific Equipment (GE, Phillips, Siemens) Accuson

  • Is there a Radiology Supervisor or Lead Tech on each shift? Supervisors and coordinators on day shift

  • Do they use RRAs (Registered Radiology Assistants)? No

  • Radiologist in-house? Yes, Mon-Fri 0800-5, After hours images are sent to teleradiology

  • Do they have to start IVs? n/a

  • Shifts & Scheduling: 8hr shifts, M-F variable start times- 0600, 0700, 0730

  • Weeknight Call Requirements: 1-2 call shifts per week

  • Weekend Call Requirements: Every third weekend on call – 24hr call

  • Holiday Requirements: if needed

  • Call or Standby requirement? Response time? 30min response

  • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Are scrubs provided? Provided or any color

  • How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation? 2 weeks will be clinical and EPIC training
