We are seeking to hire a Director of Critical Care and Emergency Services !

As a Director of Critical Care and Emergency Services at Saint Alphonsus, you would be responsible for the development, communication, and successful execution of established financial and non-financial objectives as articulated through the organizational structure and strategic plans. You would be accountable for the emergency and critical care areas across the health system including freestanding and hospital- based ED and in-patient telemetry and ICU units. With director oversight for the leaders for the respective areas.

Critical Care: Responsible for all aspects of critical care services operations across the regional system including, but not limited to, ICU, CVICU, Telemetry, Rapid Response Team, and Telemetry/Step Down. Responsible for budgeting, purchasing, staffing, recruitment and retention of staff, financial performance and reports and regulatory compliance.

Emergency Services: Responsible for all aspects of emergency services operations across the regional system including, but not limited to, emergency room operations, budgeting, purchasing, staffing, recruitment and retention of staff, physician contracting, billing and collection processes, financial performance and reports and regulatory compliance

As a member of the nursing leadership team, the Director, SAHS Critical Care and Emergency Services provides leadership and oversight to department managers and their staff for assigned areas of responsibility. Identifies customer groups, assesses their needs, and coordinates the operations to successfully achieve organizational objectives.

General Requirements:

  • Five years of experience as a manager or supervisor in Emergency and/or Critical Care Services and ten years in healthcare is required.

Education:

  • Must have a Master’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or other healthcare related field or be currently enrolled in and complete a Master's program within four years of hire.

License/Certification:

  • Licensed in the State of Idaho as a Registered Nurse. Must provide licensure or proof of application in process for Oregon within 6 months of hire.

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support for HealthCare Provider (BLS/HCP) certification required.

  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) and/or certified Critical Care RN (CCRN) preferred.
