Registered Professional Nurse who possesses clinical and leadership skills relative to the needs of the Pre-Op/PACU and Operating Room supporting our Surgicare Center of New England Baptist Hospital -1 Brookline Place Boston. Oversees the RNs and ancillary staff in the performance of their duties.

Job Description:

As the Clinical Nurse Leader supporting our Surgicare at 1 Brookline Place location the nursing professional ensures that patients are assigned to a Primary Nurse.

Reviews staffing levels for the day to accommodate the patient’s needs. Reviews Operating Room schedule/ admissions to anticipate staffing needs. Responsible and accountable for assisting with the smooth running of the unit. Acts in collaboration with the nurse manager and the staff to consult, advise and work toward accomplishing the resolution of problems. Responsible for assisting in staff education on Nursing Units. Adheres to budget as outlined by the appropriate personnel. Able to proficiently deliver patient care.

Experience and Skills :

Minimum 5 years perioperative experience (PACU/OR) experience, Proven leadership and team lead experience required. Excellent communication skills. Ability to make sound judgement in a fast-paced environment

Education and Certifications:

BSN required. Current/Valid professional nursing license in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

BLS, ACLS required. CNOR ASPAN AORN
