Lowe's Sr Manager, Technology Business Management- Software Asset Management in Charlotte, North Carolina

About Our Team

Within the technology business management space, the Sr. Manager of Software Asset Management manages a team of 5-7 individuals both in the US and India. The ideal candidate for this role has a passion for ITAM, leading and developing global teams, mitigating risk and overall cost savings for the organization. The ideal candidate for this role will need to be located in a commutable distance from our new Technology Hub in Charlotte, NC or be open to relocation, as eligible.

Job Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to lead a team of analysts responsible for executing the day-to-day operations of specific technology business management processes within area of responsibility. This includes setting short and long-term goals for the team, communicating clear expectations at the team and individual level, and ensuring team members execute efficiently on tasks that directly support the function's overall strategy. With a focus specifically on Software Asset Management, this role provides direction to analysts supporting IT Asset Management processes, ensuring licensing compliance, mitigating risk, reducing costs to Lowes tech, and tracking overall software licensing commitments whether a reduction in software or upgrades due to support or security concerns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages a team of analysts at various levels (often in both US and India) by prioritizing the work, balancing capacity and demand, guiding the team in their work, managing the team's performance and providing professional development opportunities to build an agile workforce

  • Oversees and leads the execution of the functional team's roadmap while aligning to overall Technology Strategy

  • Manages team's work performance and provides professional development opportunities to build an agile workforce

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with key cross-functional partners to support alignment and synergy of processes and procedures; provides coaching and guidance to analysts in support of these key relationships

  • Successfully manages conflict and trade-offs between stakeholders in a positive manner that drives continued engagement

  • Acts as a top level specialist; provides coaching and roll-out support on complex issues

  • Provides actionable information to Technology Leadership

  • Creates and/or leads the creation of standard operating procedures and Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)

  • Leads the development, roll out and continuous improvement of processes and best practices

  • Develops team-level objectives and helps analysts with the planning of supporting project plans to deliver the key activities of the team

  • Plans and allocates work, identifying and securing needed resources, providing clear direction and managing performance of the team against established performance indicators

  • Provides insight, guidance, and recommendations to help the team resolve escalated issues that arise in any stage of the process(es) they support

  • Provides leadership to the team by attracting and hiring talented individuals, setting goals and communicating clear expectations, providing timely and constructive feedback as well as meaningful developmental opportunities, managing performance, providing resources and support as needed, and sponsoring and leading team members through change

  • Selects, hires and develops talent for growth opportunities (often in both the US and India) to support the team; monitors team/individual’s morale and engagement to maintain highly effective and collaborative environments

  • Ensures licensure compliance through Software Asset Management tools and process

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, CIS, Business Administration, Finance or related field (or equivalent work experience in a related field) and 8-10 Years Experience in Business, Technology, Finance, Engineering, Program/Product Management, Technology Vendor Management, Procurement or Consulting

  • 3-5 Years Experience leading project or technical teams with or without formal direct report responsibility; this includes experience providing technical direction, thought leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members

  • Experience managing large cross-functional teams and resources

  • Experience managing operational or project/program financial budgets

  • Experience with project/program management and related toolsets and processes

  • Experience managing medium to large technology programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree Computer Science, CIS, Business Administration, Finance or related field

  • Technology experience in the Retail industry

  • Experience managing and coaching international teams

  • Experience in lean six sigma methodologies

  • Experience performing or leading strategic sourcing events (specific to the Vendor Management role)

  • Experience in Software Asset Management and Invoice Management (specific to the Vendor Management role)

  • Experience with e-Procurement tools (specific to the Vendor Management role)

  • Experience in multiple indirect spend categories (specific to the Vendor Management role)

Pay Range for CA, CO, HI, NJ, NY, WA: $109,600.00 - $208,200.00 annually Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
