University of Virginia Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT) - Cardiac Cath Lab, Internal Traveler Program in Charlottesville, Virginia

The Internal Traveler Program is an opportunity for healthcare professionals to explore the boundless possibilities at UVA Health. Internal Traveler positions are:

  • compensated competitively with other traveler positions,

  • available in a wide variety of clinical practice opportunities, and

  • are offered in 13-week blocks, which may be renewed up to a maximum of 39 weeks.

  • $2,500.00 incentive bonus with first 13-week assignment.

Position Compensation Range: - Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Associate degree or Equivalent Education and Experience.

Experience: A minimum of two years full time experience in an external Cardiac Cath or Electrophysiology Lab setting OR a minimum of one year of full-time internal Cath or EP Lab experience.

Licensure: EP- RCES (Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist). Cath RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) – or – ARRT (CV) or (CI). Must be RCIS, RCES or ARRT (CV) or (CI) certified prior to CVT 2 promotion/hire. BLS and ACLS certification required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires standing/sitting for prolonged periods, frequently bending/stooping/traveling (distance: 50 feet), reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive). Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull > 100lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, radiation, blood/body fluids and infectious disease.
