EHS Generalist The EHS Generalist is primarily responsible for proactively developing and maintaining the current Highland Road (Operations & Technology) environmental, health, safety, medical and security program. The position serves to support the Highland Road facility and will report to the Global EHS Director. The EHS Generalist will work closely with the Global EHS Director, other EHS staff, and operations management to administer and drive improvement in facility safety, health and environmental programs according to local, state and federal regulations and Momentive Technologies best practices. Responsibilities Coordinate, schedule, and deliver safety and environmental related training Work with the facility leadership and EHS team to develop, implement and maintain EHS programs to achieve 100% compliance with federal, state and local regulations as well as Global Momentive Technologies EHS initiatives Drive the facility towards continuous improvement in EHS measurements including OSHA recordable, regulatory compliance, lost time injury cases and EHS measurements/Sustainability metrics Provide administrative and organizational support to all facility safety teams Audit facility activities to ensure compliance and maintain appropriate documents Advise the appropriate facility individuals and EHS Leaders of any non-compliance issues Analyze the needs of PPE, assure appropriate equipment is available for employees and monitor usage Track and schedule employee testing such as hearing tests, respirator testing, forklift, etc. Update and maintain EHS data in the Gensuite tracking system Perform safety and environmental inspections Manage and coordinate all hazardous/non-hazardous waste disposal Analyze facility injury and environmental data to identify trends for targeted improvements Administer the contractor safety program Facilitate safety meetings with Committee members and employees Function as the facility SDS Administrator through the use of MSDS Online Attend company workshops, conferences and EHS training as required Update and maintain facility safety signage and bulletins Participate in facility 5S events Perform other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications: Associate's Degree in Health and Safety or related field Minimum of 3 years' experience Strong leadership and motivation skills within all layers of the business Traits and skills to encompass cross-functional work experience within the facility Ability to flex schedule to provide coverage on all shifts Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), SAP and Gensuite Excellent oral and written communications skills Strong organizational and presentation skills Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Health and Safety or related field Ability to prepare regulatory reporting requirements (e.g., EPA, OSHA) Prior experience in a manufacturing setting RCRA, DOT, IATA and IMDG Certified Travel Requi
