Job Description Position: Environmental Technician II, Asbestos, Mold, and IH- Cleveland, OH Are you passionate about making a difference in your community? Our Cleveland, Ohio office is currently looking for an Environmental Technician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will conduct environmental site investigations, assessments, and surveys to sample, measure, and analyze air, water, material, and soil. They will identify, evaluate, and recommend risk and remediation strategies/designs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Projects may include asbestos inspections, moisture intrusion mapping, mold surface and air sampling, hazardous materials inventories, asbestos project design specification, asbestos air monitoring and abatement monitoring, industrial hygiene sampling for manufacturing processes and employees, include Phase I/II environmental site assessments, asbestos abatement, storm water management, and site planning and permitting. Essential Role and Responsibilities: Conducts site testing and makes recommendations for systems design on smaller projects of minimal complexity Performs sites visits, field observations, and field data collection or assignments Implements technical requirements to complete client projects. Evaluates moderately complex laboratory and field data and assembles it into written reports May serve as team member and participate in meetings and communications with client pertaining to specific projects/tasks Follows safety rules, guidelines, and standards for all projects; participates in pre-task planning; reports any safety issues or concerns to management Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. MUST have a minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience or the equivalent in training and related experience. MUST have experience with environmental assessments MUST have specific experience with asbestos survey/inspection/removal MUST have a certification in field of expertise. Examples include: Asbestos Inspector Asbestos Project Monitor Lead Inspector Mold Technician Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history. Preferred Certification: Other national, regional, state, and local environmental related certifications requiring experience and written examination will also be considered if deemed appropriate by the Terracon Department Manager.
