What you need to know about this position:

  • Broad Imaging Services Department that performs an average of 80,000 exams per year and offering CT Scan, MRI, PET Scan, Ultra Sound, Nuclear Medicine and all digital X-Ray.

  • Our Imaging Services Department supports Inpatient, Outpatient and Emergency Departments.

  • The practice of nuclear medicine technology imaging professionals encompasses multidisciplinary skills, which use rapidly evolving instrumentation, radiopharmaceuticals, and techniques.

  • The responsibilities of the nuclear medicine technologist include, but are not limited to, an empathetic and instructional approach to patient contact, care, and monitoring: the procurement, preparation, quality control, dispensing, dose calibration, administration, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals” the administration of pharmaceuticals including adjunct oral and IV contrast (under the direction of an authorized user); the performance of quality control procedures” and the operation of imaging, laboratory, and computer instrumentation.

  • Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable. The hourly compensation is only a portion of the total rewards package and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.

  • This full-time position will require you to work 4 - 10-hour days, Monday through Friday, with a weekend, holiday and on-call rotation.

    What is required for this position:

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Certification with the American Registry of Radiology Technologists (ARRT) or Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB)required.

  • Nuclear Medicine License from the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) Medical Radiology Services Program required.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
