Description

Robert Half is seeking a short-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to become an essential part of a rapidly growing team at a dynamic company. Serving as the Accounts Payable Clerk, you will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. This position requires people who have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of accounting and its principles, hands on, and the ability to think on your feet. This Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity will be located in the Napa, California area and will be a short-term contract / temporary to hire position.

What you get to do every day

• Handle the customer service needs of internal business partners

• Perform daily processes and controls correctly and punctually, ensuring company policies are followed

• Provide support during internal and external audits

• Verify, log and send checks, including facilitating special handling

• Accomplish full-cycle A/P

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned

• Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department

• Open, sort, and deliver department mail on a daily basis

• Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents

  Requirements

• Excellent attention to detail

• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds

• Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

• 1+ years of experience in an A/P role preferred

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience

• AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
