Description

Robert Half is seeking a short-term contract / temporary to hire, Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, including bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, fixed asset review and data entry, as well as auditing and reviewing receipts and purchase cards. This role requires proficiency in financial software and strong Excel skills. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will also assist with ad hoc projects and support year-end close activities.

-Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

-Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

-Reconcile accounts receivable sub-ledger to the general ledger.

-Investigate and resolve variances between accounts.

-Review fixed asset transactions for accuracy and completeness.

-Ensure proper classification and recording of fixed assets.

-Assist with data entry related to fixed assets.

-Audit receipts and purchase cards to verify compliance with company policies.

-Identify discrepancies and follow up with relevant stakeholders for resolution.

-Assist with ad hoc financial projects as assigned by management.

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.

Assist in year-end close activities, including preparation of financial statements and reports.

Requirements

-A.A or A.S in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

-Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Specialist or similar role.

-Proficiency in financial software, particularly Excel and QuickBooks.

-Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, v-lookups, and complex formulas.

-Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

-Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

-Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

-Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

-Understanding of accounting principles and practices.

-Experience with manual double entry processes is preferred.
