Key Details: Compensation: $15-$16/ hour Start Date: June 1st, 2024 Location: Fort Collins, Colorado Schedule: 5-15 hours/week Additional Details: We specifically seek Summer Annotation Technicians to work with our machine learning team. The technicians will be supervised and mentored by WEST, with the opportunity to interact and work with multiple WEST staff.

Responsibilities: Utilize LabelBox to annotate images for computer vision models (no prior experience with LabelBox required) Identify wildlife in imagery such as ungulates, birds, and bats down to the species level when possible, as well as assessing age and sex

Job Requirements

Preferred Qualifications: Current student or recent graduate (within 3 years) of Colorado State University Demonstrated interest in working with wildlife data and databases Ability to stay focused and pay attention to detail Ability to work 60 hours over the course of the summer averaging 5 hours per week with flexible schedule; annotators may work more/less in a given week as needed to accommodate academic schedules so long as overall hour commitment is met by end of summer Capable of appearing for work on time, sitting for long periods of time; following instructions from managers; interacting effectively with coworkers and clients; maintaining a positive attitude; accepting guidance and constructive criticism

After an offer of employment is made, thecandidatemust successfully pass a pre-employmentbackground check,drug screening,and a DMV records check that meets WEST's minimum criteria to operate a motor vehicle on behalf of the company. A valid driver's license will be required. Candidates must adhere to all health and safety requirements.
