NY1498561 Per Diem Group Home Worker needed with Berkshire Farm Center & Services for Youth in Gloversville, NY

As a PD Group Home Worker, you will be responsible for creating a therapeutic and nurturing home environment for youth in a group home setting. The goal of the position is to maintain a safe, secure atmosphere conducive to the youths positive growth and change. This includes teaching daily and independent living skills, mentoring and promoting community integration.

Job Responsibilities: -Maintain a safe, secure atmosphere conducive to the youths positive growth and change. -Teach youth daily and independent living skills, mentoring and promoting community integration. -Responsible for monitoring the behavior of the youth living in the home, which includes mediating disputes, taking dangerous items out of a client's possession or coaching. -Assist Group Home leadership with the admission of new youth and discharge. -Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: -High School Diploma or GED, required; Associates Degree in Human Services, preferred -Minimum 1 year of experience working with at risk youth preferred -TCI, First Aid/CPR certification required or ability to obtain and maintain certification -Must have a current, valid drivers license per Agency guidelines. Travel required. -Ability to work a flexible schedule, outside of normal business hours including nights and weekends.

Schedule - School Days: Monday thru Friday 6am to 9am plus weekend availability preferred

Pay Rate (Based on Education & Experience) $20.00 per hour
