Position Overview

We are looking for a Full-Time Respiratory Therapist who is local to our Houston office. The Respiratory Therapist is responsible and accountable for evaluation, coordination and administration of quality respiratory therapy services.

The pay range for our Respiratory Therapists is $30.00 to $34.00 per hour. This is a work from home opportunity, with expecation of regular office visits for the pick up of supplies.

Essential Job Functions

• Provide respiratory therapy services as prescribed by the physician

• Follow policies and procedures and conform to all applicable patient care standards, licensure regulations and state laws

• Assist in securing treatment orders from physician

• Generate, evaluate and update plan of care for all patients based upon needs

• Documents patient response to therapy, patient condition, and changes in status

• Routinely communicate with physician regarding continued efficacy of treatment

• Routine set-up and maintenance of all respiratory therapy modalities

• Provide in-services for nursing personnel

• Participate in patient care conferences, staff meetings, and team conferencing

• Reflect current knowledge of trends, research and recent advances in the respiratory care of the medically complex child

• Maintain awareness of and complies with Company policy and procedures

• Complete and maintain billing information. Submits on a timely basis

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree

• Certification as Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist (CRT/RRT)

• Current and unrestricted license as a CRT/RRT in the state of practice

• Current and unrestricted license as an RRT in the state of practice

• Current CPR certification

• Current Basic Life Support certification

• Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures

• One (1) year experience in respiratory home care preferred

• Continuing Education as required by state

• Must be located within 45 minutes from OKC office; Weekly Equipment and Supply pick up needed

Preferences

• Bachelor’s Degree

• Pediatric experience
