This position reports to the Creative Services Manager.

WJAC-TV and 6 News is a trusted brand providing the market with local news, weather, sports, entertainment and social media content. We help grow the most talented people in television. You have the opportunity to work with a team filled with spirit, passion and imagination. We are currently seeking a full time Promotions Producer! The ideal candidate for this position must be able to write, shoot, and edit promotional content while managing deadlines. This position reports to the Creative Services Director.

As a Promotion Producer you will:

• Be a core member of our WJAC-TV promotion team

• Create promotional content (including video and graphics for social media, broadcast television, and other delivery streams) to market our various news and entertainment properties

• Write compelling copy that maximizes the impact on audiences on each platform

• Work with our traffic system to log, schedule and contract promotional spots for multiple stations.

• Interact with News, Marketing and other management to ensure created content adheres to station brands and goals

• Write captivating copy targeted to your audience

• Meet daily deadlines and adapt quickly to changing news content

• Participate in station events (appearances within the community, etc.)

• Other responsibilities as assigned

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

• Two years previous experience in social or broadcast content creation (Either professionally or academically)

• Strong writing skills and attention to detail

• Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere)

• Knowledge of video formats/codecs

• Working knowledge of social media platforms

• Highly creative and strong communication skills
