Responsibilities

The Behavioral Health and Geriatric Psych Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to adult and geriatric patients in a behavioral health setting. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with mental health and substance abuse disorders, as well as a strong understanding of geriatric psychology.

The LPN will provide direct patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring, as well as support patients with daily living activities. The LPN will also work closely with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, conduct patient assessments, and document patient progress. A strong focus on patient-centered care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role. The Behavioral Health LPN will work 12 hour shifts and will also be working alongside CNAs and RNs.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

  1. Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician.2. Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. IV certification within 90 days of hire4. Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain current.
