Sutter Health Medical Assistant Clinical Coordinator - Primary Care in Los Gatos, California

Position Overview:

The Department Coordinator performs the functional duties of a Certified Medical Assistant and is also responsible for the coordination of the site's daily operational needs under the direction of the Manager.

  • Performs the functions of a specific position within the site as well as able to perform or assign the duties of the positions within the site to ensure efficient, effective daily operations.

  • Specific duties may be required for certain specialized departments please refer to the hiring department or addendum for more detailed information

  • Travel and work within the bay area region may be required

Qualifications:

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Healthcare Provider certification (CPR) via the American Heart Association

  • AAMA, CCBMA or AMT certification

  • Minimum three years actively working as a medical assistant

  • Advanced education in medical office operations or leadership preferred

  • Minimum three years professional experience sufficient to recognize and make appropriate judgments regarding daily operational issues.

  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize tasks in order to complete assignments within the time allotted and maintain standard workflow

  • Proficiency in Microsoftt Suite applications, spreadsheets, presentations, Org Chart software using pivot tables, formulas and graphics

  • Strong verbal/written communication and active listening skills; including excellent interpersonal skills and telephone communication

  • Travel and work within the bay area region may be required
