JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The BerbeeWalsh Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (UWSMPH) is seeking a Med Flight Moonlighter to join a collaborative group of physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, and specialists in addition to experienced pilots and dispatchers. Our Med Flight program is one of the premier programs in the world having physicians transport patients on every mission. The Med Flight Moonlighter will transport patients by air or ground. Join our team today and be inspired to elevate your abilities. We perform both scene and interfacility patient transports. For patients with traumatic injuries, we carry more blood products than most transport programs in the world (8 units) and an advanced procedures kit. Responsibilities: Clinical Responsibilities: Deliver patient care for critically ill and injured patients of all ages throughout the region. This includes staffing our UW Health Med Flight bases located at three locations in Wisconsin (Janesville, Mineral Point, Portage). Education: Faculty in DEM are committed to teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Faculty teach residents and fellows by participating in and leading UWSMPH courses and tracks and through both supervised clinical care and didactic, small group, and simulation activities.
