JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The position is a 9-month tenure-track faculty position beginning in August 2024. We seek strong candidates with a portfolio of research in any area of the learning sciences, including but not limited to: -Examining and expanding our understanding of models of learning processes -Developing, applying, testing, refining, and/or expanding current theories or methods in the learning sciences -Developing, applying, and/or studying learning environments based on current theories in the learning sciences; -Designing learning environments including Computer Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) environments -Conducting empirical work using rigorous qualitative and quantitative research methods to build and advance theories in the learning sciences -Applications of theories and methods from learning sciences to address issues of diversity and/or educational disparities Ideal candidates will do strong empirical work using qualitative and quantitative research methods although they may predominantly use one or the other in their work, and will be expected to have or to develop significant grant portfolios. Interest in research collaborations with community-based partners (e.g., K-12 schools, non-profit organizations, professional organizations, etc.) is desirable. Candidates will actively participate in the research, teaching, and training programs of the Department of Educational Psychology.
