JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: The Department of Kinesiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking outstanding candidates for a tenure-track faculty position. Desirable candidates should be able to a) teach courses within our Kinesiology major, with an emphasis on epidemiology, public health, measurement, research methods and health policy, (b) provide exemplary undergraduate instruction and graduate student training, and (c) secure extramural funding to support distinguished research in an area of Physical Activity Epidemiology. Appointment start date will be August 19, 2024. Appointment will be full time for the nine-month academic year. Salary is competitive and contingent on experience and qualifications. Additional remuneration for summer session teaching is possible. Responsibilities: 1) Teach undergraduate courses within the Kinesiology major and graduate courses within the Physical Activity Epidemiology Named Option. 2) Advise undergraduate, masters, and doctoral students. 3) Participate in faculty governance and other service to the university, department and profession. 4) Establish a program of research including publication of findings, presentation at scientific conferences, and pursuit of external funding to support research studies.
