JOB REQUIREMENTS: Medical Assistant, Pediatric Orthopedics - 31054 DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: Work Schedule : 100% FTE, 40 hours/week, day shift. Shifst are scheduled Monday - Friday between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm, no weekends required. You may be eligible for up to a \$3,000 sign-on bonus (pro-rated based on FTE). We are seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA, CCMA, LPN) to: We are seeking a Medical Assistant to: * Join our Pediatric Orthopedic team as they provide a full range of surgical and non-surgical services including trauma surgery, elective surgery and sports medicine. * Provide quality care in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment. * Prepare patients for examination, assist with office procedures, and provide patient education. * Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness, and education. Equal Opportunity Employer-minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS: Education : Minimum - High School Diploma or equivalent and ONE of the following: * Completion of an accredited medical assistant program OR * Licensure as an LPN OR * Completion of the UWH Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program OR * Attainment of the CCMA certification as a UWH employee OR * Acceptance into the UWH MA Apprenticeship Program - Accelerated OR * One year of recent Medical Assistant experience and CMA, RMA or CCMA Certification Work Experience : Preferred - One (1) year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant or LPN Licenses and Certifications : Minimum - * Certified as CMA, RMA, or CCMA or eligible for certification.
