SOLUTE Careers Senior Cybersecurity Engineer in March Air Reserve Base, California

Sigma Defense is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to document, advise, and assist in building multiple cloud environments for the DoD. The candidate should be knowledgeable in submitting and sustaining security packages for information systems, particularly those in cloud environments.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in Cybersecurity Engineering.

  • Microsoft Azure Cloud experience is preferred.

  • Hired candidate must be willing to work on a new program and help build the security package from the ground up.

Mandatory Certifications:

  • CCSP

  • Security+ and CISSP are preferred.

Computer/Programs Experience:

  • SCAP

  • ACAS

Personnel Clearance Level:

  • Candidate must possess an active, DoD issued Top Secret or TS/SCI security clearance.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in Cybersecurity or related field of study.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Provide accreditation support - work with IA personnel to evaluate and determine the appropriate RMF accreditation approach for any updates and or changes to the existing accreditation package.

  • Support continuous monitoring using established vulnerability management processes outlined in NIST-800-53 series CNSS 1253.

  • Conduct manual DISA-directed Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG) on a quarterly basis using SCAP or ACAS scanning tools.

  • Develop Plans of Actions and Milestones (PoA&Ms) to mitigate findings from the STIG review.

  • Provide updated security artifacts based on changes to network baseline.

  • Provide updated information and or documentation to the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC).

Salary Range: $130,000 - $150,000 annually.
