Aspen Medical Physical Therapist in Miami, Florida

Aspen Medical has an exciting opportunity for a Physical Therapist to partner with us in providing medical services to UN sponsored Kenyan Peacekeepers and US Government staff at a field hospital in Port Au Prince, Haiti. This will be a deployed, rotational contract, ideally with a 3 month on, 1 month off, rotation cycle. 

The team will be based in a secure, purpose-built camp and hospital facility in Port au Prince, Haiti, and all service delivery requirements will be conducted within the confines of that facility. All support services are being provided by the US Government, including camp facilities and basic life support requirements, including travel, meals, accommodation, internet, and other ancillary support services. 

Aspen Medical will provide a Level 2 Field Hospital with EMS, Pre-Hospital Care, Surgical, Diagnostic and Laboratory, and other ancillary services. All clinic service delivery services will be provided in accordance with US clinical standards and compliance measures. 

Citizenship 

  • All Aspen Medical staff must be US citizens or Green Card holders. 

  • Sponsorship will not be available.  

Requirements:

Education:  

  • Master’s degree or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited physical therapist education program. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy (will be considered based on years of experience). 

Board Certification:  

  • American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties board certification (any specialty) or other specialty certification is desired, but not required. 

License:   

  • Current, valid, and unrestricted license to practice physical therapy in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia is preferred. 

Continuing Education:

  • Meet continuing education unit (CEU) requirement of 40 CEU’s every two years which are acceptable to the AANA Council on Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists. 

Experience:   

  • If physical therapist with a Master’s or Doctorate degree - A minimum of three (3) years of proven post-qualification experience as a physical therapist, preferably in a healthcare setting. 

  • If physical therapist with a bachelor's degree – experience will be evaluated by RN Recruiter and Subject Matter Expert (SME). 

Certification: 

  • Current, valid American Heart Association certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). 

This position will be a 1099 contractor, with a fixed daily rate while on rotation. You will not receive pay while off rotation.
