Summary:

Engages in full-scope reporting and analysis to support the marketing of Gallo Spirits brands. Serves an integral part in pre-planning meetings by providing key business insights and the supporting data points to marketers allowing them to make appropriate business decisions. Represents the Spirits business unit on cross-functional project teams by providing Spirits business analytics.

Essential Functions

  • Conducts in depth analyses and research that focuses on areas such as sales/ marketing promotions, annual business reviews, shipments and depletions, competitor analysis, etc.

  • Prepares detail of work plan and schedule, completes detailed analysis and research, identifies options,

  • Develops and prepares reports for brand marketers and the Leadership team; recommends action or change for assigned projects.

  • Analyzes general market and specific business conditions trends and prepares forecasts to support current and future business decisions.

  • Provides recommendations to brand managers regarding Brand Programming; makes recommendations to team members as necessary.

  • Manages Customer/Trade budget(s) as assigned.

  • Serves as the subject matter expert regarding current market trends and data mining during the Annual Brand Planning Process.

  • Engages in pricing analysis; makes recommendations or adjustments.

  • Performs and provides analysis for test markets and brand expansion plans; develops new product planners, test markets and metrics.

  • Participates in the preparation for LAUNCH, Local Market Planning and Arc meetings by providing key data elements and providing analysis.

  • Actively participates in monthly demand, Spirit Project update meetings; provides insight on field and Business Unit activities which affect business.

  • Maintains satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.

  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory considerations. If accountable for the work of others, responsible for ensuring their understanding and compliance.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of sales/marketing analysis, corporate financial analysis, brand marketing experience, or CPG sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR Bachelor’s degree plus 4 years of Gallo experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR 9 years of sales/marketing analysis, corporate financial analysis, brand marketing experience, or CPG sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.

  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration plus 8 years of brand marketing analysis experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Preferred computer skills include: Advanced MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Skilled in reading, analyzing and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.

  • Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

  • Experience effectively presenting information and responding to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

  • Skilled in working with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

  • Skilled in applying concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

  • Skilled in solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

  • Skilled in interpreting a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

  • Skilled in applying established procedures to situations that are non-routine in nature requiring some evaluation, originality or ingenuity.

  • Knows the fundamental concepts, practices and procedures of this particular field of specialization.

Compensation

  • Hiring Salary Range: $89,100 - $133,700/Year.

  • Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
