Overview

We’re looking for a Telephonic Triage Specialist to join our team.You will report to the TelephonicTriage Manager. The role allocation for this position is 50% Team Lead and 50% Triage workforce management role. The primary responsibilites are to direct, supervise and evaluate personnel as well as coordinate services of assigned team members. In addition, the Telephonic Triage Specialist is responsible for monitoring, assisting with, improving, and enforcing Quality Assurance standards and acceptable productivity levels. The Triage workforce management responsibilities are to ensure that the Traige RN's are performing the following per protocol, compliance, and withina productive and timely mannger.

  • Provides training, monitoring and basic support to Triage team

  • Assists with staff shift scheduling

  • Communicates regularly with supervisor about department issues

  • Assists department in carrying out various programs and procedures

  • Provides support with department reporting needs

  • Assists with standard operating procedure development and maintenance

  • Provides workforce management during peak volume hours

  • Assists with escalating/chasing branch contacts (when branch nurse is non-responsive or unlisted)

About You

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure within a NLC Compact State, Three (3) years clinical experience

  • Must possess a minimum of two (2) years’ experience, either in oncology, long-term care, or hospice or home health

  • Prior experience with telephone triage

  • Prior experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
