Sutter Health Decision Support Analyst II in Mountain View, California

Position Overview:

The Decision Support Analyst is responsible for the management and maintenance of analytical and reporting resources for the Finance Department and supports the PMC Executive Director in the administration of physician Compensation for PMC. The Decision Support Analyst is responsible for the timely and accurate analysis and reconciliation of physician productivity data, capitation payment audits, specialty contract reimbursement, and analysis of key financial metrics. The analyst also interfaces with MPD senior leadership to develop and monitor metrics and other necessary reporting tools in support of the MPD Clinics. This position interfaces with central PAMF staff in the reporting of MPD data PAMF-wide. This position functions as part of a team with the proven ability to effectively interface and communicate with multiple customers at multiple levels in the organization.


REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field (MBA preferred); five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in financial planning, preferably in healthcare (knowledge of CPT-4 codes, ICD-9 codes and RVUs); excellent analytical skills; experience with queries, analysis and building databases; excellent skills in Microsoft Excel (experience with Microsoft Access and/or Crystal preferred); excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex accounting and financial information to non-financial people with tact and diplomacy; excellent organization and time management skills; ability to manage multiple and sometimes competing deadlines; ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
