Job Summary and Qualifications

Join our team at TriStar Centennial Medical Center as a Pharmacist, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate medication management and patient safety. You'll be responsible for interpreting medication orders, reviewing patient profiles, and executing various professional duties in line with facility policies and regulations. Responsibilities:

• Accurately interpret medication orders and assess patient profiles.

• Procure, prepare, label, distribute, and secure medications.

• Document clinical interventions effectively and support staff training.

• Maintain knowledge of hospital policies and regulations.

• Implement pharmacy department goals and procedures.

• Manage professional practice, including ethics and continuing education.

• Support management team and assist with pharmacist training.

• Coordinate delivery of pharmaceutical care to assigned areas.

• Supervise and train pharmacy technician personnel.

• Stay updated on automated dispensing processes and software.

• Provide education on medication therapy and procedures as needed.

• Retrieve, analyze, and provide accurate drug information.

• Manage storage, preparation, and dispensing systems.

• Safely compound and dispense medications.

• Collaborate with stakeholders in medication use process.

• Plan, organize, and improve work activities efficiently.

• Assist with quality improvement initiatives and inventory control.

• Utilize knowledge of age-specific patient needs.

• Follow Standard Precautions and comply with required classes and vaccinations.

• Perform other assigned duties, including monthly inspections and additional staffing hours.

Qualifications:

• BS or Pharm.D. degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy.

• Strong interpersonal skills for effective team interaction.

• Active Tennessee state licensure as a Pharmacist.

• Preferably completed PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency or possess three years of hospital pharmacy experience.

• BLS and ACLS certifications required within three months of hire.
