Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) is seeking a seasoned and strategic leader to join our Loan Syndications team as a Managing Director focused on Project Finance. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in originating, structuring, and financing groundbreaking renewable energy projects across the nation.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the origination and execution of complex project financings for renewable energy projects (solar, battery, etc.)
  • Oversee deal teams, manage direct reports, mentor junior colleagues, and drive best practices within the Syndications & Project Finance group
  • Partner with clients to understand their specific project needs and develop innovative financing solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams (credit, legal, structuring) to structure, underwrite, and close renewable energy transactions
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key industry players, including developers, utilities, and investors
  • Identify and analyze emerging trends and technologies within the renewable energy sector to capitalize on new opportunities
  • Foster a strong culture of collaboration and excellence within the Project Finance team
  • Oversee the due diligence process for potential deals, ensuring a comprehensive risk assessment
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the regulatory environment impacting renewable energy projects

The base pay for this position is relative to your experience but the range is generally $230,720 - $346,080 per year. This position is eligible for variable compensation, which may be in the form of incentive, bonus, or commission pay. Qualifications

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree with 8-10+ Years Experience OR High School or GED with 12-14+ Years Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience in project finance, with a strong focus on the renewable energy sector
  • Proven track record of originating, structuring, and closing large and complex renewable energy transactions
  • In-depth knowledge of project finance structures, tax equity, risk mitigation strategies, and non-recourse financing
  • Superior financial modeling and analytical skills to assess project feasibility and financial risks
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a high-performing team
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders
  • Passion for sustainability and a strong commitment to supporting the clean energy transition
  • MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred
