Sutter Health Cardiovascular Technician - Summit (Per Diem - Variable) in Oakland, California

Position Overview:

Performs all duties of the EKG technician plus application and scanning of Holter and Event monitors and treadmill testing. Provides weekend and holiday coverage on a rotational basis.

Qualifications:

Education/Licensures/Certifications:

  • High School Diploma is required

  • Other - Completion of a cardiology technical program preferred

  • Associate's Degree - College coursework in health sciences desirable

  • Basic Life Support Certification - BLS is required

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support - ACLS is required

  • Electrocardiogram Certification - EKG preferred

  • Certified Cardiology Technician - CCT (After 2 year’s experience in Cardiology) preferred

  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist - RCIS preferred

Experience:

  • 6 months - 2 years in acute care facility, cardiac cath lab (scrub, circulator, monitoring) roles and/or EP lab experience preferred

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of EKG arrhythmias

  • Holter scanning

  • Treadmill exercise testing preferred
