The Coca-Cola Company Planner, Maintenance Department in Ontario, California

Overview/Position Summary

As a Planner, you will be tasked to work with Maintenance Supervisors to proactively plan plant maintenance activities on daily, weekly and monthly basis utilizing computerized maintenance management systems and other tools for tracking maintenance work.

Position-Related Duties and Key Job Responsibilities

  • Properly develop and implement preventive maintenance systems for all production equipment.

  • Create and maintain Preventive Maintenance work orders in the facility computer program (SAP PM)

  • Coordinate predictive and preventive maintenance practices for all production equipment.

  • Develop measurements for tracking the success and timeliness of maintenance activities such as work order completion rates.

  • Comply and improve maintenance processes for parts management and work completion.

  • Maintain a backlog of work requests to meet maintenance requirements, and ensure the requests are clearly communicated.

  • Generate priority schedules, manpower schedules, and coordinate these schedules with the customer.

  • Identify and maintain maintenance budgets, supply estimated budgets to various plant customers.

  • Ensure materials, components, and special tooling required for work orders are correct, available, and in serviceable condition as specified.

  • Maintain equipment records, including engineering specifications, manuals, job packages and repair history.

  • Perform systematic preventive maintenance, including electrical or mechanical adjustments, inspections and minor repairs as needed.

  • Possess basic electrical knowledge. Ability to size conduits, wiring, thermal overloads, and starters. Able to check voltage, amperage, and continuity with a multi-meter. Able to read electrical diagrams.

  • Check parts in and out of parts inventory to match to scheduled maintenance work.

  • Perform purchasing function in absence of Parts Room Coordinator.

  • Troubleshoot, identify root cause, and resolve production/equipment problems.

  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) in the execution of the work schedule. Ensures the area is maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly fashion.

Qualification and Additional Requirements

  • High school, General Education

  • Minimum 3 years related work experience
