Job Description:

Under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse, and in accordance with Hospital policies and procedures, the Hospital Technician-Peri anesthesia (Peri anesthesia Tech) provides basic direct and indirect care as a member of the patient care team.

The direct patient care activities are related to the following: transporting patients, measuring, recording and reporting patient information, provision of assistance with activities of daily living, and simple treatments and procedures. In addition, the Peri anesthesia Tech assists in maintaining the unit environment in a clean, orderly condition.

Job Requirements:

• Must have BLS Certification from the American Heart Association

• A desire to work within the heath care field and work with patients
