Ansible Government Solutions Ultrasound Technologist in Palo Alto, California

Overview

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently seeking Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (Ultrasound) Technologists to support operations at the VA Palo Alto Health Care System located at 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304. Services to be provided include the full range of Ultrasound care for inpatient and outpatient VA patients to include call shift. Multiple shift schedules with on-call service are available. If you accept employment with Ansible, you must also acknowledge that any assigned schedule is subject to change at the direction of either Ansible or its customers.

Full-time, Travel, and Per Diem candidates are considered for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Provides Ultrasound care covering the range of services that would be provided in a state-of-the-art civilian medical treatment facility, at a standard of care that equals or exceeds VA Standards and the TJC

  • Adheres to the ARDMS Practice Guidelines and Technical Standards to improve the quality of services to VA patients

  • Promotes the safe and effective use of Ultrasound through the utilization of specific training, skills, and techniques

  • Performs organ-specific and subspecialty-specific imaging including:

  • Abdomen - Gastrointestinal

  • Abdomen – Genitourinary

  • Breast Imaging

  • Cardiovascular/Extremity

  • Pelvis

  • Small Parts

  • Performs related administrative tasks

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma

  • Completion of a CHEA- and JCERT-accredited Technologist training program

  • ARDMS certification is required

  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required

  • A minimum of two (2) years of proven clinical experience in Diagnostic Medical Sonography in a Level 1 hospital setting

  • Must have proven clinical work experience within the past 12 months

  • Prior work experience with the Siemens S2000/S3000 system is preferred

  • Prior VA experience is desirable

All candidates must be able to:

  • Sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift

  • Lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist

  • Lift up to 20 lbs

  • Carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance

  • Push/pull with 30 lbs of force
