Part-Time School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

We are currently seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our new therapy services team in Philadelphia PA. This clinician will provide in-person direct services and progress reports/IEPs for a caseload of K-8 students. You will support 10-20 students as an essential part of the team, working closely with students, families, and educators to provide quality speech and language services.

Requirements:

  • School-based and/or pediatric experience working with K-12th grade children.

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.

  • Valid PA SLP license from the Pennsylvania Board of Speech-Language Pathologists.

  • Valid PA Education Specialist Certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education

    Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech needs and identify growth areas for students based on academic impact.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's needs.

  • Provide direct and indirect speech and language services to identified students.

  • Work closely with classroom teachers and other disciplines to meet students' speech and language needs.

  • Monitor student progress through observations and data collection, allowing for any necessary adjustments to treatment plans.

  • Maintain open and regular communication with caregivers, sharing updates, and offering strategies to promote continued growth at home.
