Hospice of the Valley Dementia Support Coordinator in Phoenix, Arizona

Position Profile

The Dementia Support Coordinator manages educational activities and events as well as education rotations taking place on the Dementia Care and Education Campus (DCEC). Tasks will include event and rotation coordination and oversight, logistical planning and the compilation and reporting of results.

Responsibilities

  • Manages events at the DCEC including Education Sessions, Memory Cafe, Support Groups and Mindfulness Classes.

  • Manages student, resident and fellow rotations at DCEC.

  • Coordinates internal dementia education.

  • Manages DCEC phone calls and visitors in a professional manner.

  • Provides back up administrative coverage for the Supportive Care for Dementia Program.

  • Maintains and enhances professional skills.

  • Adheres to high standards of personal and professional conduct.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma.

  • Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in an administrative support and/or event planning preferably in healthcare or education setting is strongly preferred.

  • Previous customer service experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Healthcare or education background is strongly preferred.
