Learn more at HonorHealth.com. Responsibilities Job Summary Assists physicians and registered nurses during advanced therapeutic interventional and general endoscopy procedures. Responsible for the technical functions related to assisting with advanced therapeutic interventional and general G.I. and pulmonary procedures. Assist in implementing and data gathering in the care of the patients undergoing interventional and general endoscopic procedures and performs other duties as assigned. Assists the physician with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic ultrasound procedures, ERCP, fine needle aspiration with slide preparation, biliary and pancreatic duct stents, esophageal stents, manometric procedures, esophageal dilations, specimen collection and other related procedures/duties Prepare procedure rooms according to interventional endoscopic or pulmonary procedure requirements. Perform proper safety checks to verify proper equipment function. Troubleshoot any issues pertaining to endoscopes and device Clean, disinfect, or calibrate scopes or other interventional endoscopic instruments. Collect Specimens from patients. Place devices, such as blood pressure cuffs, pulse oximeter sensors, nasal cannulas, surgical cautery pads, and cardiac monitoring electrodes, on patients to monitor vital signs. Qualifications Education High School Diploma or GED Required Experience 2 years Direct patient care experience or endoscopy experience Required Licenses and Certifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Current BLS Required
