Quail Surgical and Pain Management Center in Reno, Nevada, is an outpatient surgical center dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. Established by a group of community physicians, the goals of the founding physicians have not changed since they were established in 1999. These goals focus on:

  • Streamlining the delivery of medical care so it is patient-centered to provide the highest quality services.

    This PACU RN opportunity is per diem and offers a convenient day shift schedule. This dynamic individual will provide direct patient care to infant through geriatric patient populations. Addresses the psychosocial, physical and general aspects of care related to the surgical environment. Communicates with surgeon and anesthesiologist continuously and as needed about patient condition. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and pain management inventory. Participates in performance improvement activities. Assesses operating room / procedure room for equipment functioning and readiness, obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of surgical operating team are met. Monitors, positions and assists patient during procedure.

    Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct patient care based on the nursing process according to the developmental, stages/ages of the patient served.

  • Assesses, plans, coordinates implements, evaluates and participates in patient care in accordance with the needs of the patient, the physician's plan of care, standards of care, and organizational policies.

  • Ensurers accurate, concise and timely documentation in the patients medical record.

  • Assists in the development and implementation of work techniques and methods appropriate to the ambulatory surgery program.

    Qualifications

    Current Registered Nurse licensure in the State of Nevada.

    Previous experinece in an outpatient PACU setting or in an acute care setting in the PACU preferred .

    Current BLS certification.

    Current ACLS certification.
