Providence is calling a Senior Coding Quality Educator who will: Assist with the day-to-day operations of Coding Integrity, Knowledge Management team Assist with research and developing coding guidance based on local, state and federal healthcare coding regulations and other payor guidelines as applicable Assist with the identification, development and delivery of new and ongoing coding changes and updates to all regional coding teams Collaborate with various departments e.g., regional coding teams, revenue cycle, compliance, practice operations, and other key stakeholders on all coding matters Respond timely (either orally or written) to coding inquiries from coders, educators, and other teams across Providence enterprise Serve as a resource and subject matter expert for all coding matters Provide coding education to regional coding teams as needed Maintain relevant documentation and data as required Perform other related activities as required or requested We welcome 100% remote work for residents who reside in one of the following States / Regions: Oregon Washington California Required qualifications for this position include: H.S. Diploma or GED Equivalency 4+ years' professional fee inpatient, surgical, outpatient coding, E/M, Auditing and other related work 4+ years' experience conducting medical coding provider audits and quality performance measures 4+years' experience preparing audit reports with recommendations 4+ years' experience providing provider education and feedback to facilitate improvement in documentation and coding Strong experience in Excel (e.g., pivot tables), database, e-mail, and Internet applications on a PC in a Windows environment National Certification from American Academy of Professional Coders -OR- National Certification from American Health Information Management Association Preferred qualifications for this position include: 5+ years' experience in coding for multispecialty practice 2+ years' experience in professional fee billing methodologies Experience with IDX, Allscripts, Advanced Web, Meditech Experience with project management Salary Range by Location: WA: (Puget Sound, Vancouver), OR: (Portland): Min: $40.98 Max: $64.88 OR: (Salem, Hood River, Medford, Seaside): Min: $36.65 Max: $58.03 E-WA: (Richland, Spokane, Walla Walla): Min: $34.99 Max: $55.39 NorCal (Napa, Sonoma): Min: $45.98 Max: $72.80 SoCal, NorCal (Humboldt): Min: $40.98 Max: $64.88 Why Join Providence?
