Purpose: The Board Certified Staff Physician provides patients with primary care services in a licensed diagnostic and treatment center. With a focus on patient centered care delivery, demonstrates active collaboration, communication and problem solving with the health care team.

  1. Patient Care

• Provide primary care to adult patients on-site in clinic with an interdisciplinary approach.

• Rotating 24-hour phone-based call system to include urgent patient communications, ED visits, hospital admissions, panic lab values, etc.

• Provide consultation regarding general primary care, as needed.

• Provide primary medical care, including women’s health to diverse populations, including patients with HIV, Hep C, & LGBTQ.

  2. Teaching/Training

• Precept students, residents and other medical staff during elective rotations at Trillium Health

• Required to obtain 50 or more CME credits per year to remain eligible for medical staff credentialing and commercial insurance crediting.

  3. Primary Care Program Clinical Supervision

• Actively collaborate in ongoing quality improvement programs to optimize patient safety, service excellence, physician satisfaction, program growth and development.

• Represent Trillium Health in appropriate internal and external forums, meetings and coalitions.

• Responsibilities include interviewing; training; planning, assigning and directing work.

• Administrative duties as required (quality assurance, etc.)

  Qualifications

  M.D. or DO Degree and Board Certified in Family Practice. Minimum 3 years of clinical experience in Family Practice.

  Physical Requirements

  While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to stand, sit, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, talk and hear. Occasionally the employee must stoop, bend and lift or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
