Sutter Health PACU Technician (Full-Time, Varied Shift) in Sacramento, California

Position Overview:

POSITION SUMMARY

The PACU Technician assists the PACU staff and physicians with a wide variety of patient care functions, including basic nursing, equipment maintenance and transport, care of the environment, transportation of patients, clerical duties including ordering, stocking supplies, maintaining log book and necessary statistics (monthly and weekly), and computer support.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Education:

BLS-HCP

High School Graduate, GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience plus successful completion of medical terminology course are required.

Experience:

Current nurses assistant experience, or currently enrolled in an accredited LVN or RN school program, or successful completion of a nurses assistant training program.

Knowledge:

Must have demonstrated knowledge of effective English written and communication skills and basic computer proficiency skills.

Skills:

Under the direction of RN/LVN, manages multiple demands in an ever-changing environment.
