Sutter Health RN - Pediatric ICU in Sacramento, California
The Registered Nurse in the Acute Care setting manages the patient/family experience through utilization of critical thinking, teamwork, effective communication, and nursing judgment/knowledge/skills.
MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an accredited registered nurse program
Current California RN license or interim permit
Acute care experience preferred
Experience in area of clinical specialty preferred
Knowledge of nursing process in the assessment of physical and psychological needs of patients and their significant others.
Demonstrate basic nursing skills
Aware of adult learning principles in providing teaching of patients and their significant others.
Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS-HCP), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred in specialty areas.
Department Specific Requirements: SMH PICU Unit
Peds experience preferred
Completion of Pediatric Nursing Course within 6 months of hire or next available offering
PALS within one year of hire and recognition maintained
