The Maria Bettini Lab in the Department of Pathology seeks a Lab Technician who will manage day to day lab activities, including ordering, stocking the lab, and mouse colony management, as well as, contribute to team projects. Research in the laboratory spans several fields, including immunology, metabolism, autoimmunity, molecular and cellular biology. The focus of research is on T cell function in chronic autoimmunity. The Lab Technician will assist with basic research experiments including molecular biology, cell biology and culture, mouse experiments and animal care. The applicant would have an opportunity to train in one or more cutting edge immunological approaches, including spectral high parameter flow cytometry, confocal microscopy, and vector mediated gene transfer. This is an ideal opportunity to get research experience for a competitive graduate program application.
