Job Summary

The Department of Public Safety Chief Safety Office is seeking two candidates for its USafe Ambassador Program to run from August 2024-May 2025.

Safety is a top priority for the University of Utah. The Chief Safety Officer is the Director of Public Safety and is responsible for overseeing the University of Utah Department of Public Safety, which includes the following operational divisions: University Police, Campus Security, U Health Security, Emergency Management, Emergency Communications, and the central administrative Office of the CSO .

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities:

  • This position is approved for a maximum of 10 hours/week average.

  • Student will have the opportunity to collaborate on a selective team to lead campus and state-wide safety initiatives, including the Utah Campus Safety Conference.

  • Plan and implement projects in a unique, cohort format based on safety needs on campus.
