We have a direct hire opportunity for a Release Manager. This position is 95% remote but candidates must reside in Cailfornia (Sacramento preferred as ther will be up to 25% travel along the 80 corridor)

Job Description:

Our client is embarking on an exciting new journey to mature our Center of Excellence (COE). The Release Manager will be an integral part of the startup of our new Center of Excellence that will provide leadership, best practices, research, standardization, support and training for our SaaS CRM Application.

This role will be responsible for the Release Management Lifecycle that involves ensuring the software releases meet core requirements, driving updates to business processes, and communications regarding the release. Overall, you will be concerned with planning, testing, tracking, deployment, communication, and risk management regarding the release.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF COE RELEASE MANAGER

  • Schedules, coordinates and manages releases across the various applications and integrations in the CRM system portfolio

  • Develops and manages the governance regarding the decisions to take releases

  • Creates full visibility into release readiness, Go/No-Go, and milestone reviews

  • Manages interdependencies to ensure the integrity of the release

  • Identifies and manages the risks that can delay the release

  • Participates in efforts to develop and maintain best practices.

  • Manages and communicates release plans, commitments, and changes

  • Coordinates the release schedule with the resources required, developing excellent relationships with key business processes, integration, and data owners who are part of the Center of Excellence

  • Leads the Go-Live activities to deploy the release successfully

  • Build and maintain strong working relationship with CRM vendor

  • Maintains documentation related to procedures, status, and changes of release

  • Makes improvements in the methodologies used for release management; always work to improve the process.

  • Develops innovative approaches and alternative solutions to solve problems

  • Develops strategies to effectively manage current and future challenges and opportunities; develops recommendations and actionable plans.

  • Provides oversight and coordination of non-CRM system releases that impact CRM.

  • Facilitates the standard processes and methodology for software release across the CRM ecosystem.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities is qualifying.? A typical way to qualify is:

  • 5+ years of Project and Program Management experience.

  • Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

  • Experience ing project management knowledge and techniques to achieve objectives.

  • Knowledge of traditional and agile project methodologies, including Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban.

  • Experience using data to inform and set priorities and identify challenges/opportunities.

  • Good understanding of application infrastructure and system architecture best practices and principles.

  • Experience with cloud environments.

  • Experience with Azure, familiarity with cloud devops.

  • Proven Team Management skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills.

  • Define issues and focus on achieving workable solutions; generate innovative ideas to develop or improve existing processes.

  • High School Diploma and or GED equivalent

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or an equivalent degree preferred
