Sutter Health Nurse Practitioner - ICU ACNP (VNC) - PD in San Francisco, California

Position Overview:

PRIMARY PURPOSE: (Position Summary)

Under the supervision of the intensivist, this position supports the Critical Care Service Line. Principal responsibilities include assessing and managing the medical care of patients in collaboration with the physician. The incumbent will also communicate with other nursing staff and referring physician to ensure the continuity and coordination of care.




Master’s degree in Nursing.

Current California RN license

CA NP License prior to official start date

Current California Nurse Practitioner certificate

Furnishing and DEA numbers

Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) within 1 year of employment at California Pacific Medical Center

ACLS and BLS current


Excellent organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills

Ability to handle multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work with individuals of diverse background and experience to create an effective working climate.


Minimum of five (5) years of RN experience in Critical Care Nursing

Critical Care experience preferred.
