Position Overview:

Assists in preparing for and during surgery by performing routine and delegated duties according to standards and policies of the department and hospital to assure quality patient care.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education/experience required.

  • Completion of a formal accredited Operation Room Technician program required.

  • Two (2) years scrubbing experience at CPMC required

  • BLS required upon hire

  • certification from NBSTSA required upon hire.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Basic knowledge of surgical procedures, equipment, and supplies.

  • Requires strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills.

  • Requires flexibility to accommodate emergencies as well as changing schedules and priorities.
