Sutter Health Ultrasound Sonographer-Imaging Services* in San Francisco, California
The Ultrasound Technologist performs each type of Diagnostic Ultrasound procedure on patients ranging from Neonatal to Geriatric. Consistently provides immobilization and protective devices as required to ensure safety of patients and personnel. Assists physicians with examinations, biopsies and drainage procedures as needed to ensure proper diagnostic or therapeutic results Assists in the performance of first-aid as necessary. Must be familiar with procedures and equipment on the emergency carts to expedite care. Must demonstrate knowledge of principles of ultrasound, the equipment and how to use remote image storage for the permanent records of each examination. Responsible for “on call” duties as required. Must be familiar with hospital computer operations in order to complete exams, access patient’s radiology files and statistical data.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
Must be a graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Must be Certified or eligible for Certification with the ARDMS(American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers).
Must have current BLS and CPR certification.
Must possess the ability to perform Diagnostic Medical Sonography in
