Sutter Health Radiology Technologist III - MRI - Santa Cruz (Per Diem) in Santa Cruz, California
Working with and under the direction of the Imaging Services Supervisor and Radiologist's to perform imaging procedures for the purpose of delivering quality healthcare to our patients.
• Performs specialized imaging services on patient based on department policy and procedures
• Selects appropriate equipment for specialized procedure
• Calculates and selects proper technical factors for procedure requested
• Consults with other related patient care team members as needed such as referring to Clinician or Radiologist
• Positions patient properly in order to obtain requested image and according to physician specifications
• Performs routine radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures such as X-ray, Mammography, CT , MRI, ect
Knowledge of diagnostic radiology and or CT/MRI/ Mammography principles and procedures as well as operation and maintenance of radiology equipment as normally acquired through experience and completing of an approved School for Radiologic Technology
Current CA CRT certification
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists - ARRT
Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR healthcare provider certificate
Current Venipuncture certificate (if performing CT and/or MRI)
Current CA Mammography License (if performing mammography)
Must be performing well in 3 different modalities, including x-ray, mammography, CT or MRI for at least 6 months
Must remain current with all CE and licensing requirements
Ability to perform imaging procedures with speed and accuracy
Requires a mature, flexible and willing attitude with the ability to learn a broad range of tasks.
- Minimum of five (5) years relevent work experience.
