Description Robert Half is looking for a Senior Accountant for a permanent opportunity in the Santa Cruz, California area. As a Senior Accountant, your duties will include financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Key responsibilities

• Adherence to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

• Contribute to coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

• Complete monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables that includes journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in the compensation area in compliance with GAAP

• Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required

• Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary

• Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.

• Provide monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

• Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives

• Supply Balance Sheet account reconciliations Requirements

• Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

• Current and relevant ERP system experience

• Ability to meet deadlines

• Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment

• Well-founded grasp of month end closings

• Earlier work involving Monthly Account Reconciliation

• Good understanding of cost accounting

• Foundational knowledge in Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Quality experience with Month-end Journal Entries

• Accounts Payable (AP) experience highly desired

• Wide ranging experience with Month-end Reports

• Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)

• General familiarity with Month-end Close Activities

• Proven knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Practical knowledge of Month-end Financial

• General ledger experience

• Expertise in General Journal

• Self-starter and strong ethical standards

• Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company

• Able to manage time well
