Aerotek LNG Operator (Interview ASAP) in Savannah, Georgia

We are currently hiring LNG Operators to join our growing team here in Savannah, GA

LNG Operator will perform the following functions:

  • Work and maintain one area of the plant per shift, troubleshoot various mechanical components (pumps, valves, compressors, blowers, vaporizers, generators, utility systems) in the plant to ensure efficiency, perform minor repairs to these mechanical systems prior to calling maintenance, take direction from the plant controllers on what needs to be done to keep plant running.

  • Monitor and control terminal components such as cryogenic equipment including pumps, compressors, blowers, vaporizers, unloading arms and storage tanks; gas turbine generators; electrical systems; utilities systems (air, nitrogen, water sump pumps); fire protection, and hazard detection systems.

  • Walk tanks to the top to perform routine checks and measurements, use computer to document all task or duties that were completed or need to be completed in the plant, perform various safety functions like LOTO to ensure plant safety.

  • Once an issue is identified, read blueprints or P&IDs to ensure they understand what is going on in the plant, take various readings of plant equipment to ensure nothing seems wrong or faulty.

  • Perform shift change overs at the start and end of every shift, and perform predictive analysis or troubleshooting on all equipment.

ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

2+ years of industrial processing experience

2+ years of troubleshooting and minor mechanical repairs or maintenance

2+ years of reading blueprints or P&ID's

2+ years of computer experience to document all activities

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

They must be able to handle high pressure situations in the event an emergency arises.

They cannot be afraid of heights because they will be asked to climb the tanks to take readings and perform routine preventative analysis.

Will be onsite at PLANT on daily basis.

Must be able to lift as much as 50lbs, bend/stoop, kneel and climb ladders.

Must be able and willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and available to respond to and report to work in call-in situations.
